Working Harder
What do you think of Jurgis’s maxim, “I will work harder”? Do you think this is a good solution? Can you think of an example from your own experiences of where "working harder" pays off? Can you think of any time where "working harder" doesn't impact the situation?
Chapter One
There is a wedding taking place at the start of this chapter. Usually gifts or money are given to the newly married couple. What gifts (if any) are given to Jurgas and Ona? Is it possible to have "gifts" that are not actual presents or money? How would you feel if you had a celebration and your guest came without gifts?
Would you prefer to live in the city or in the country? Why?
